Often in social dance, stretching is ignored, but I just came across a useful guide of stretches put together especially for argentine tango. It doesn’t have anything revelatory, but it’s a great reminder, and clearly put together.

Yesterday, in Union Square I had the misfortune of seeing a girl wearing jeans over a one-piece swim suit. The jeans were so low-rise that I saw a large part of her thighs between where the swim-suit ended and the waist began. I would’ve taken a photo, but I was so shell-shocked that I didn’t grab my camera fast enough. Where was she headed? To my knowledge, there are no pools, beaches or large water fountains anywhere near Union Square. Please tell me this won’t become a new trend!
Rainy Netflix Weekends

How did I ever live before netflix? Finally got around to watching Life Aquatic. It was just ok. Amusing, but I felt like I’d already seen the best of it in the previews. Too self-consciously trying to be a cult film. Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums were much better.

Your very own radio

If you haven’t already checked it out, go to pandora. You give them an artist or a song (or multiple artists and songs), they analyze it and play music that’s similar. If you don’t like a song, you give it a thumbs down and skip it. It’s a great way to find new bands, or listen to stuff that you can’t quite justify owning. It’s also great for those moments when you know what type of music mood you’re in, but you don’t want to actually choose the specific music.
Thinking about the past

I was just reading through some of my old blogs/journals. It’s interesting to watch characters ebb and flow from my life. Some of them make reappearances in unexpected ways, and some of them just disappear.
